We're now about two months in, so now that characters have had some time to settle and get to know one another, time for another meme! Just one question, to be answered OOCly this time:

What would other characters have noticed about your character? This can be anything, from what they usually order from room service to the fact that they wear the same green shirt every Friday.

Alternatively, feel free to use this meme to ask others about things your character might have noticed as well (eg. George's roommate wants to know what George is singing in the shower?).

I have been tracking things Maya’s said are her favorites or things she does not like in-game so I don’t forget here but other folks can feel free to reference it too!

And I recently added an inventory of magical items she’s acquired.

If you’re an early bird like her you’ll for sure know about the stirring cantrip from Byron which she uses to stir milk in her coffee every morning.

In terms of the workday she makes most of her appointments in the morning and early afternoon and has been spending the last part of the day in the library where she is a regular. She spends most of her time in the reference section to understand different supernatural biology, as well as recently looking into curses.

Richard/Dick

Morning Routine varies as follows:

😇: If Richard wakes up in control he goes on a refreshing morning walk. He takes a seat outside to enjoy his tea and have some peace very early in the morning before the pings of indecision begin.

😈: If Dick wakes up in control he gets his coffee black and immediately jumps into trying to answer pings and influence them after downing the coffee.

I'm having a hard time with this so please ask stuff and I can fill in better, probably!

Cinder's neither a night owl nor a morning person -- she's nicely in between.

She does not dress up for things. If she owns heels, they're one inch at most.

She's very food motivated BUT also gets suspicious very quickly about the source of said food. But it tastes so good :(

She's usually pretty chill and unflappable, but that's covering a deeper insecurity than I was expecting with her.

She rarely 'does' any kind of magic or exhibits any kind of magical abilities. She gets weird an antsy around discussions of fae things.

She's got a temper that flares up once in a while over seemingly small things.

Leeds

Barbie has been hanging out at The Yard a lot lately, and has been notably seen reading to "her" new Dodo bird.

Asher

It's weird how Asher wears basically the same thing (not literally the same, just the same vibe) all the time, right? You've never seen him in short sleeves or like, workout clothes or anything less than casual Friday wear, right?

And the hours he seems to keep? Shouldn't he be sleeping?

Bellona Cadieux.

Bellona doesn't sleep, so she's neither a morning or night person. She does use her nights to hunt for food and is always rather crude when asked about it.

She spends most of her time in the armory and is always around to help others learn how to use various weapons. She's a strict teacher though.

She rarely uses magic in front of people, but sometimes she'll use it for small things.

Stella

Living Situation Business
- Does not order room service and absolutely will not let Curio (or other staff) service her apartment without prior one-time arrangements
- Does not invite others into her bedroom. (Living area is separate from bedroom.) Her bedroom has a magical lock on it.
- Has magical soundproofing inside her apartment.
- Awake 24/7 and comes and goes at odd hours.
- Likes to peek inside other people's apartments whenever their door is opened. Waves if she gets caught.
- Kitschy, whimsical taste.

Work Hours
- Very personally decorated office that is constantly changing and evolving as she brings in new odd trinkets. Cabinet of curiosities with a girlishly retro flair.
- Only really works when employees die, so she has a lot of down time that she uses to wander HQ and peek in on what other people are doing. LOVES to meander, LOVES to hear the latest office gossip, LOVES to see how other people have decorated their office spaces. Will do this all while sipping a meat smoothie.

Byron Best

- He's probably not really seen around much outside of work hours, unless he's walking his (new!) hellpuppy, Beryl. Doesn't really have much of a social life.
- Mostly wears jeans and black t-shirts unless he has to dress up for something; if he has to, he'll wear a suit or wizard robes. Hasn't worn glasses since being outed as a werewolf, because he doesn't actually need them any more.
- Simultaneously an early bird and a night owl; doesn't sleep as much as he should, because there are so many interesting things he wants to do and he often winds up stumbling down some esoteric rabbit hole.
- Habitually uses magic for everything to the point of laziness (eg. turning the pages of a book, boiling water, checking spelling).

AMA 2!

- Has more magical abilities than most people probably realize (eg. teleportation, shielding, shapeshifting, wish granting).
- Pretends to be weird and aloof because that's better than realizing he's desperately lonely (can't reveal any weaknesses or people will hurt you!).
- He's a Healer now! So he has an actual office. He'll still go check on the horses from time to time to make sure they're doing okay, though. He just wants to feel like he has a Purpose.

• bracken's hours are a little unpredictable; he spends a lot of time in the yard & often takes the overnight shifts. rarely, however, found in his office. (so rarely that it's where he'll hide from people lmao.) (said office is undecorated except for one of those banana cat beds.)
• blooper the teleporting cat's followed him around recently and he seems unconcerned by this.
• is aware he and broderick aren't fooling anyone except themselves and doesn't really care; it's not your business!!!!! & if he can't be found at his own place or the yard, put your money on his being at broderick's, or at least in his orbit.
• doesn't allow housekeeping in his apartment & personal touches are still extremely minimal, the only thing he's added in a month is a framed photo of him with his daughter and her parents which he's very :3 about.
• flannel, denim, hoodie, flannel, sweater, denim. rbf has begun to taper off. is more physically affectionate with wolves+.

• Seems to have an endless amount of clothes. Rarely if ever wears the same thing, and all of it is stylish but clearly vintage in that she always looks like some 1980s victorian dandy. No one has seen her in pyjamas or anything approaching sweats - does she actually sleep??


• Doesn't talk about the Unseelie Court unless it's to insult them (or to educate Cinder on fae ways), and has never uttered any of their actual names (is she able to? is it a choice?)


• Seems to be everywhere at all times, especially if there's free food or drinks


• For how social and extroverted she is, she seems to be alone a lot


• Rarely seen without a cigarette, whether it's already being smoked or it's about to be

Broderick Best

• Keeps weird hours, whether that was because for a time he did the overnight shifts at the library, or if he just doesn't actually sleep (which is, incidentally true for a number of reasons). Doesn't really seem to know how to relax much and needs to be occupied.


• Doesn't actually wear a lot of sweater vests, but does seem to own a large number of knits in general like some sort of academic crossed with a lighthouse keeper.


• Apparently incapable of resisting the urge to make any space he's in his. His apartment, his office, the library even tbh all feel a little more lived in because of him.


• Does he know that he doesn't have to go everywhere with Bracken? Yes. Does he care? No.


• Can be overheard having full conversations with absolutely no one. Probably alarmed some people in the early days, but as a medium it's just him talking to spirits now and then. Always seem to be heated conversations - but what conversation of Broderick's isn't heated?
