Welcome to February's Plot Calendar! Thank you all for a great January and a great start to this game!

Please only take one volunteer spot for the first 24 hours; after that, it's all fair game. Department-wide and Mission spots don't count towards your limit. Think of all volunteer spots as prompts to get your character interacting with other characters.

**Calendar items marked "post required" are metaplot-related and should be posted about to move the plot forward. Please don't take these volunteer spots unless you will be able to make a journal entry on that day.**

Missions are explained here and can be signed up for in the comments of this post.

🎁 Thursday, February 1st

[BONUS WINNERS TBA] are asked to visit BYRON BEST to receive a prize for their excellent work over the past half-month. New missions for February are announced and up for grabs.

STARTING FEBRUARY 1ST, Carnation Sales to help benefit the Event Committee will be going on THROUGH FEBRUARY 12TH. A general post will be going up in the near future with more details, but this is your chance to have your character (or NPCs!) leave anonymous or signed notes to other characters in-game. Carnations and their notes will be delivered on Valentine's Day! If your character would like to sign up as volunteers to take notes or do flower deliveries, you will be able to volunteer them on the forthcoming plotting post.

OPHELIA KEENING receives 500 ravens intended for Cadmus Scantlebury from someone named "Xander Baudelaire, Gentleman Vampire Esq, Founder and CEO of the Quest Fellowship, Ringmaster of the Association of Adventurer's Guilds Webring". (post required)

Monday, February 5th

A bard from the Creativity Department has written a song about BRACKEN HEMMING and it's annoyingly catchy.

Tuesday, February 6th

BRODERICK BEST receives a very important mission from Cadmus himself (details to follow - post required).

Wednesday, February 7th

The walls are leaking blood, and it's not even tasty blood. HYACINTHE'S favourite SWEATER is ruined, but they find a new replacement waiting for them when they get back to their apartment.

Thursday, February 8th

BEATRICE BAILEY finds a mysterious egg under their bed.

Looks like MOFF's prophecy about the cursed photocopier is coming true. While trying to use it, YESENIA ESPERANZA is trapped by the photocopier and needs a rescue. OAK MAYFIELD comes to their aid. Too bad there's now hundreds of unflattering copies of their smushed face.

[ANNOYING NPC - YOU CAN NAME THEM] declares SANDY NYGARD and CURIO to be their new best friends and tells them they're going to order matching jackets. (post required)

CINDER LEWIS takes their team to Hong Kong to ready themselves for a special mission kicking off at midnight (see #1013 on the mission spreadsheet for more details).

Cadenza Pickle, amateur Youtube archaeologist, has accidentally awakened an ancient hydra and needs all the help they can get, ASAP. BYRON BEST leads the charge. (IC/OOC open to everyone)

Tuesday, February 13th

ADZUKI YAMASHITA opens a spam link in an email and now everyone's work email accounts are locked, requiring the answer to a near-impossible sphinx riddle to unlock them. Characters may still use the journal network but work is cancelled for the day. Yay?

It's Delivery Day! All notes and carnations will be delivered before noon. A little reaction post will go up on this day so that you all have a place to pal around with generalized reactions and threads, if you want.

CINDER LEWIS & BIRDIE FEATHERINGHAM, who helped Cadenza Pickle on Monday, go online to discover they've gone viral and are now extremely popular after Cadenza released footage of their exploits.

STELA SALVADOR gets asked to do an interview with a major supernatural newspaper about their role in the Adventure Society.

BIRDIE FEATHERINGHAM takes a wrong turn and finds a secret garden, then decides to make it their own.

Everyone receives a nicely-wrapped box of chocolate-covered insects. Delicious!

Thursday, February 22nd

All of the interior of HQ turns into a forest for the day. A great day for the outdoorsy folks, not so much for everyone else. Characters with creature/animal forms may be forced to take that form for the day (player's choice). (flash reactionary)

Friday, February 23rd

CYPRIEN DU VOY finds what appears to be an 18th century dandy wandering around, confused and unsure what year it is. BRODERICK BEST notices that he looks strangely familiar. (details to follow - post required)

🌕 Saturday, February 24th

Full Moon; this time, all vampires (and other blood drinkers) receive a wine bottle full of virgin blood so that they don't feel left out after the werewolves received a gift last month.

Sunday, February 25th

Everyone receives a bottomless brunch.

Monday, February 26th

Some characters receive a possessed or (if they're an incorporeal entity) possessable stuffed animal delivered to their apartment. (Sign up below in the comments if you'd like to receive one!) They can choose to keep it or send it to the Archives for safekeeping.

Tuesday, February 27th

[ANNOYING NPC FROM FEBRUARY 9TH] hasn't been seen in days, and only ELIAS HAWTHORNE seems to have noticed. Maybe they quit? (post required)

Wednesday, February 28th

Xander Baudelaire of rival organisation Quest Fellowship announces that he is arriving at HQ on March 1st to challenge the legitimacy of Adventure Society. (Mini apps for 4ths open up February 1st! See comments for more info.)

Leap Day! HQ goes all Y2K due to magical calendar malfunctions, causing everyone to get stuck inside as a regular old mundane human for the day. (IC/OOC)

INFO ABOUT 4THS/UPCOMING TEMP CHARACTERS

On March 1st, a delegation from Xander Baudelaire's Quest Fellowship will be showing up at HQ to challenge the legitimacy of Adventure Society. Basically, they will spend a couple of weeks getting to know your characters, join them on adventures and whatever else.

THE TWIST: Quest Fellowship characters will basically be doppelgängers of current Adventure Society members, so they'll be shadowing characters with the same job as them and who are perhaps a little more similar than is comfortable for either of them.

These characters will basically function like temporary NPCs with a basic little form rather than a full app. Players will have the option to turn them into a "real" character at the end of the plot if they choose. They may be connected to current characters if you'd like (even if you've already maxed out your 2 connections).
