I refill the bird feeders. I watch them eat. They're not unsettled by me. I begin work, and there is a strange, potentially embarrassing stain on someone's linens or clothes. Mr. Scantlebury doesn't need me for anything. Most of you are busy so I can freely go through your things.

I return to the birdfeeders and resume watching them eat.
